Details

Nicholas graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012 and has over 14 years of clinical experience as a restorative dentist practising across Derbyshire and the Cotswolds. He likes to take time to listen and understand the expectations of patients so that care can be tailored in a holistic way that best balances an individual’s functional, aesthetic and emotional needs. He has a strong commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for.

In 2021 Nicholas went on to complete training in IV Sedation and Oral Surgery and was awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Oral Surgery with Merit from the University of Bristol. He welcomes referrals for difficult extractions from colleagues and from other practices locally.

His experience in the Oral Surgery department at Bristol Dental Hospital highlighted the importance of delivering compassionate care during procedures patients often find daunting. While tooth extractions are never something patients look forward to, Nicholas is dedicated to making the experience as positive and stress-free as possible.

Nicholas is passionate about providing a service which allows anxious patients to access care. He has successfully assisted many patients in overcoming dental anxiety with an approach to treatment centred on empathy. He is highly experienced in administering Intravenous Sedation, which ensures a calm and relaxed experience for those who need it. He maintains an average of 10 sedation cases monthly and mentors dental team members in conscious sedation techniques.

Outside of dentistry, Nick is an adventurous cook, a weightlifting enthusiast and a keen supporter of England Cricket. At the weekends, he can often be found exploring the Southwest Coast Path with his pet dog Molly.
